12-12-16 The Psychology Of Your Future Self

I think I will change drastically in the next ten years, as most people would.  I would be 25 years old (being 15 years of age right now).  If I am 25 years old, I probably already graduated high school (hopefully) and I am on the verge of graduating college.  But what I have always wanted, for the lonest time, was to get a tattoo.  I know this may seem ridiculous, but according to a quiz I took I should be married by the time I turned 25. So there are man things that could happen between a 10 years time frame.  Some may be small and some may be extreme, but there are always going to be some forms of a change.  Whether it’s something as simple as your hair color changing or something impactful like having children or owning a business.  In all of us, there is going to be some type(s) of change during our lifespan, whether we like it or not.  There are tons of possible things that could happen to us in the next ten years.  Are we ready to see what comes next?

12-12-16 Nobel Peace Prize

There are six international prizes awarded annually by the Nobel Foundation for outstanding achievements in the in the fields of physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, economics and for the promotion of world peace.  The Nobel Peace Prize was meant to bring world peace.  This is very important to society today.  We all need peace in our lives individually.  Just imagine how much peace there needs to be between two people or two countries, but the entire world, unimaginable.  World peace is very important. World peace is achievable as well.  The people who have earned the Nobel Peace Prize have tried to tell us this and/or show us this.  This is why they, of all people, won this very honorable prize. They wanted to do good in the world by trying to create world peace.  The prize itself is a way of telling people to do more, and push for greatness and world peace.  That it is achievable, with hard work and effort we maybe able to accomplish this common goal.  What can you do to help accomplish world peace?

What I’m Thankful For 11-21-16

I’m thankful for many things in my life. Some people do not have much, and would be very grateful to have some of the things that I myself have. For example, some people don’t have family’s to love them, so I am thankful for my family. Some people don’t have the privilege of having good friends they can trust therefore, I’m am also thankful for my friends.  It’s very sad that people also don’t have parents that have jobs or enough money to buy a house. So I am thankful for my house, and that my parents have a job so they can support me and my sister ( our family). As I said before, I’m am very thankful for everything and everyone in my life. Because I know somewhere out there is another girl my age wishing she had a better life and that she had nice things, etc.. And for this reason I am very, very thankful for everything I have and I try to treat everything and everyone with the up most respect.

Have you ever been outnumbered by a certain group of people around you?  If they attacked, how would you be able to fight back as an army of one?  If no one listens to what people of their kind say, how can they tell the truth?  We all have questions about how the African American people fight back and how the white man dominates over the blacks.  Are we willing to do anything about this hatred though?

I can understand that for many years most whites considered Negros to be their property in general. The times have changed; we all have to realize this.  We are all equals.  Yes, maybe they once were all slaves, and they might have even been your own property at one time.  But, blacks are people, just like you and me.  They deserve freedom and justice just as well as we all do.

John Hancock wrote in the Declaration of Independence that “all men are created equal”.  Does this statement not apply to Negros?  I think not.  We all are treating Negros as unequal.  What if a white man committed the same crime as Tom Robinson?  Would you still be throwing mobs, trying to kill him, or would you take his side and say, “Not guilty”.  We as one, in Maycomb, should not treat those of African descent as inferiors.

In Maycomb, we should eliminate entirely every and all uses of racism.  I know this will not be a sudden change, but I feel we can accomplish this common goal. We all feel Negros are mistreated in some way and not given the up most respect that all humans of the United States of America deserve, under the United States Bill of Rights.  Please help me, no all of Maycomb, in accomplishing this goal of equality. We all deserve respect. What will you do to help?

10-10-16 What Scares Me Most

The thing that scares me most in life is losing my family. It would be the worst dilemma that I have ever faced in my life to lose them. Even though my sister can be very cumbersome and very annoying, I don’t know how I could live without her wildness. I would still diffusely love my family , even if they were all brigands. My mother and father although would never do that, they have always been ever so circumspect about everything that they do. Even when they were raising me, they were very cautious on what they were to say and do. Absolutely nothing in this world could ever relinquish the love I have for my family.

10-10-16 Materialistic Americans

Many countries predispose that Americans are too materialistic. I believe that us and other countries are both equally materialistic. In fact, other countries are so materialistic that they sometimes have debris everywhere! Some people from these countries may be so opinionated that they will not sway their opinion about this subject, but I believe it depends on the person. For example, one person  from the United States may have some items that are perennial heirlooms or religious things, but so do other countries. They too have things that are meaningful to them. Yes, some people may be unbridled and muddle about many of their possessions, but we all have materialistic things that we care about.

10-6-16 Mix Tape Of My Life

The mix tape of my life would consist of two songs. One of the songs would be Strawberry Wine. I choose this song to put in my mix tape because, when I was little my mom got a karaoke machine for her birthday, and every morning I would get up and sing the same song from the CD that she also got. Can you guess what it was? Yes, Strawberry Wine, my parents had to listen to that song every morning with a very annoying 6 year old girl singing it at the top of her lungs at 7:30 in the morning. The second song would be Delta Dawn. This song is very meaningful to me and my family. My great grandma, we called her Nanan, sung that song to her daughter (my grandma), her granddaughter (my mom) and me and my sister and cousin. She sadly passed away a few years after my sister was born so she wasn’t able to sing that song to my other cousin who was born shortly after her death. I miss her a lot , but I will always sing that song to remember my Nanan.

10-6-16 First Crush

My first crush was a boy named Jacob when I was five or six. We had to go visit our family friend for her 27th birthday, and she had a sister who was there with her son (the birthday girl’s nephew). After we met we immediately were friends and our parents planned loads of play dates.  After a couple of play dates, he asked me to be his girlfriend and after I said yes (being the five or six year old that I was) , he had kissed me on the cheek. I remember he had brown hair, green eyes, had long eyelashes, and had an obsession with video games. One time I told my parents that I was going to run away to live with Jacob, and have a job at Krogers. My parents knew that I would never run away, so they let me go outside and I sat outside on my back porch waiting for Jacob to come pick me up for three hours. Fun times.
